So I'm finally moving into a place of my own. I had always said I wouldn't move into a place without a garage but I couldn't hold out any long so a shed it is Sad.

I move into the place this week and will be looking to put up a shed in the garden but unfortunately the biggest I will be able to get away with will be a 10 x 8 - How cramped will it really be? I will hopefully finally be building my 840cc Honda Bros but I think it's going to be a little tight in there.

So come on, show us your sheds (If you happen to have any pics, inside shots would be mega)

I take it you are in with your parent's at the moment? Why not keep the project there if it's not too far? The confines of a shed are never overly comfortable at the best of times.

You seem to have your shed and greenhouse aspect ratios inverted.

I'm living in Norwich and my parents live in Kent Sad I was a student here, graduated last year, had a job back home for 9 months and then moved back here for a better job, been living with friends for 4 months Neutral

It's crap because I'm used to my dads garage which is mega.

Sad times. (Though hopefully not as sad as t121anf's!)

I built my turbo system in here - and had the bike stored in it too. 10x8 is luxury compared to what some people work with.

How big was that Pete? Doesn't look far off 10 x 8?

tbh 10 x 8 is taking the pee a bit with the gf but she doesn't really have a say in the matter, 10 x 8 will take up at about 1/3rd of the garden - no lie Very Happy

Got to get your priorities right haven't you?

Can't measure it now as I have a much larger garage across the garden, but it was about 8x7 or so.

they are the same size..... if anything the shed is larger by volume.

bikes should be garages, sheds are for lawn mowers

I feel so dejected. I dont have a shed. I'm shedless. Devoid of wooden lovelyness to fill with motorcycle lovelyness.

I dont even have a garden to put a shed in.

Thanks for this thread guys. All its done is made me realise how empty my life is. Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to go sit in the corner and nurse my bottle of vodka.

I need a garden to implement a shed based solution. Fortunately my parents are only a couple of miles away.

May I suggest you get a smaller shed for "stuff" and then rent a nearby Garage from local council?

Garage is so much better to work in and you WILL need the space eventually.

I have a garage which I fully intented to use for repairs and 2 months after moving in I find I just don't have the time!

I've got 2 garden sheds. One is a summer house thing, one is a proper shed.

Bikes dont get kept in them, they get kept in my double garage at my parents house.

However, the shed of mine, is probably big enough to squeeze my YZF450 in there, at a push. I had a KTM200 in there for a while.

A few years ago a mate of mine put up a summer house in his back garden. We were sat in it one evening enjoying some Jamaican Woodbines, and he asked me what i thought of it, I said whilst it was very nice, it was basically just a luxury shed.

Ever since then the name has stuck, and whenever i'm round there he'll often ask me if we should retire to the luxury shed for a while.

Laughing

(probably had to be there, and be as wasted as we were)
