I got this PW80 as project non runner. I have have done a bit of work, fitted a new piston cleaned the air fiter, exhaust baffle, carb (then fully stripped and recleaned), new cables ect. Howeveer I can not get the bike to run and tick over on anything less than 3/4 and will slightly increase revs between 3/4 and full.
My initial thought was full starvation however there is no problem with the flow to the carb.
I have had a play arround with the 2 adjustments screws on the carb and they make no noticeable improvement.
I am a novice on 2 strokes so struggling a bit to understand what is wrong.
Could it be something else effecting the running or is it the carb internal parts.
Any thoughts anybody.

Andy

When you say that you 'fully striped and recleaned' the carb. Did you clean out the jets?

If not, id start there. Take out the Jet(s) and spray some carb cleaner in them then blast some compressed air down to clean them out. Pop them back in and try again.

I have sprayed they jets with lots of carb cleaner from an aerosol. I have not sprayed it with an air only aerosol. Will it really have a significantly larger amount of pressure more than a liquid type aerosol?
Either way it is another option which I can try. Thanks for the tip.

I am not going to get at the bike until next week to if anyone else has any other suggestion I am open to any advice.
