I have been offered an aprilia rsv mille don't know if its the R or not, 28000 miles full service history, special titanium double under seat exhausts, expecting it to be the 2000/2001 model. THe only thing is its a parallel import/grey import whatever you like to call it. All this for 2 grand. Is this worth it?
Cheers
Bod

For two grand I'd be ooo just a little bit suspicious...
They sell for something like £12,000 new don't they?

If you do know the guy, and it comes out clean on a HPI then yes, its a very good buy.

If it's all legitimate, then as Col says, it is a very good buy indeed.

If it's a UK registered bike, and check out to be HPI clear, have a test ride make sure all is in order and if it seems okay buy it. Really wouldn't buy it over the phone or whatever without seeing it first even if it is family, just because it is someone your god father knows doesn't mean it's not dodgy, anyone can be dodgy and have a hiden interest in selling dodgy stuff but whatever I'd still go and check the actual bike out before parting with any money.

Will be a farking big jump onto a RSV Millie

And to be honest, £2000 sounds way way too good to be true, so don't get your hopes up

They are good and for £2,000 assuming it all check out okay then it's worth buying if not to stick it in Bike Trader and sell it at a profit. Does seem very very strange, he could very easily sell it for twice that with very little effort so does ask the question why is he only trying to get £2k for it. Confused Thinking

Makes it seem even more strange and vague. Surely he has a number and if you were selling a bike and someone asked you how much it was you'd give them a numerical answer? Confused

Hi

£2000 is dirt cheap for that. £4000 would probably still not be a bad deal.

If it is all legitimate and not crashed then bite his arm off.

All the best

I got my HPI check from HPI Check.com for £40 with no problems, online report then sends you a paper copy in the post to back it up.

What are you wanting to use the bike for? It is a very high performance racing orientated bike so not a good choice for commuting and high milage. But at that price if it is legit buy it if just to sell it on as £4,000 wouldn't be too hard to get for it.

I was looking at prices for these a few weeks ago. Like keith said, it'd be cheap at 4k.
