Hi, I've just bought a 2001 GS500 with the one piece standard bars.
Being a bit aged (me, not the bike!) I'm finding the standard bars a bit low. I've owned mainly 1970's classics with higher standard bars.
If I could fit some bars about 2 - 3 inches above standard it would be a lot more comfortable.
Does anyone know if this can be done without changing the cables & brake pipes? Or has anyone fitted renthal bars higher than standard?
I haven't loosed of the bars & pulled them up yet to see how much slack there is in the cables.
Cheers.

Go on Google and search for "motorcycle handlebar risers"

You will find what you want.
