... for reading half of it >:]

It's pretty intimidating stuff for someone who hasn't got on the road yet, and I would be lying if I said reading some of that hasn't put me off riding a little bit...

Don't be a wuss, toby Smile

Perhaps a bit much for a complete newbie to take in (cos even I can't be arsed reading the whole lot right now) ... but print it out and read it once you ARE roaming about London and the countryside more confidently, it will be insightful. You don't need to read it all at once . . . just pick bits out of it to look at. I think its very useful.

You're still extremely new. Its bound to sound frightening, but don't let it put you off Smile Smile Smile Biking (even in London) is lots and lots of fun Smile

The "things they don't teach..." section about riding in a group is very good. The number of times I've been leading a group and we have been split by cars when changing lanes is mind boggling. Now I realise how to avoid it. I shall print it out and make sure all the group understand it before we go off anywhere in future.
