Went out for a late afternoon/night blast with Nemo and met up with binge...

Shocked

Had a bloody awesome night, havent really enjoyed being out on the bike since getting my job...so thought fuck it.

Turns out i'm doing wheelies slightly wrong Laughing managed to get the front lifting gradually.. no more smashing the poor clutch Wink

Also, had my first ride on an SM... Shocked Twisted Evil Shocked If you ever get the chance to get on a decent SM.. do it, that shit is insane Laughing its like boom in your face power and sooo light weight Very Happy

Cheers for an awesome night Nemo and Binge.... although losing my dash and rear lights was a bit of a killer Laughing

I saw you got the hang of wheelies after a go on my YZ.

It's the bike, I tell ya!

Before you know it, you'll be doing junctions on the back wheel.

Granted, your bike is very hard to wheelie, think it's the extremely tall gearing, means you have to be doing like 70mph before you can clutch it up! Laughing

I still cant get it up in 2nd, can make it lift a little if I really pull on the bars... but not really too much Neutral

I met Paddy and Nemo at Oakdene, then we rode back along the A20, stopping off on a small country lane in Boxley, which runs along side the M20.
So you can make as much noise as you like, and it's relatively straight for doing wheelies. Smile

Defo mate.

Will probably be Wednesday again.
I will possibly have a new job by then though, so I wont be around. (Working nights).

So the following Sunday should be my next hoon!

LOL!!!

That GSXR of yours is nice though man.

I just forgot how slow sports bikes are off the line. Shocked
Or at least, they feel slow because they are all high end powered.

I've not had a high revving sports bike since my CBR400. Since then, I've only owned bikes like the TLR1000, B12, and now a big single cyl thumper.

Slow off the line? I find it reasonable Laughing
I totally underestimated the YZF.. I honestly though it would be say 250cc power delivery, like fuck did I expect that.

By no means slow, but what it lacks in top end it more than makes up for down low Wink

Mine is the total opposite, I was genuinely scared after that quick blast, my heart was going spastic and my hands were shaking Laughing But I had no objections doing 165 on the current bike...didnt feel scared after that at all.

Totally different Laughing Definitely couldnt have one as my sole bike, i'd have an ASBO, 9 points and a pissed off neighbourhood Laughing

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Yeah, dont get me wrong, I'm sure a standing launch with the two bikes, there wouldnt be much in it at all.
But the YZF just feels a LOT faster because of the torque.

I always feel guilty when riding sports bikes. I felt like i was ripping the f*ck out of your bike, then when I looked down, it was only at like, 9k rpm, and had like, another 6k to go! Laughing

Possibly, although I'd like to meet up somewhere en-route. It's a boring ride to oakdene from my house unless I hit the A20 via Maidstone/bluebell hill.

Will probably meet Paddy at GroveGreen Tesco. Where abouts are you from?
