After using the search tool with no luck, I figured I'd ask here. Is there any thread on this forum named something like "Pictures of you in your gear"? I'm going to be buying some new gear soon and need some ideas of what looks nice.

Thanks Thumbs Up

Is it on line shopping?

Best thing to do is go and try the things on.

You could check the facebook page a lot of members post their pics on there. But I don't see how that is really going to help you, your best going down the local shop just to have a look you don't have to try anything on or buy anything. Though if you don't try anything on you won't know how it feels.

Then you could always check on eBay for the same items, can be risky as they might not be official and have problems with the seems one of the most important parts on a piece of protective clothing. Cool

Cheap and cheerful.

Yen is modelling secondhand suplus trousers from some american soldier, (check for 'fear marks' in the gusset before purchase). Boots supplied by work, jacket by Shagged of Saville Row, road by Essex County Council.

I always thought you were a burd. I might actually start to read what you post now, instead of instantly dismissing it as irritating feminine prattle.

How very dare you, I am a burd, as you'd soon discover if you saw me trying to decide where to park in a huge empty car park!

Okay...here's me in my 17year old leather jeans, my mates cast off paddock jacket, my Suomy lid, and HG boots. Oh and not my bike either...photo is from the SE Tag, hence the odd pose. Laughing

Akito jacket

Akito Trousers

Karrimor walking boots and a black G-mac flip front helmet

And whilst in this thread, are these textile coats washable? mine has only been washed with rain in the 6 years I have owned it.

My Frank Thomas isn't, although you can wash the inner lining. I wipe mine with a damp sponge and it is sufficient enough to wipe splattered bugs off the outside of the jacket.

After 6 years its looking a bit Jaded, I may well have to buy a new one before it takes on a life of its own.
