Exhaust Stud nuts

Are these special in any way or can I just use Random stainless ones I have laying around?

No reason you can't use them, I've made and used them for a few years on different bikes with no problem, it's not like they need to be HT on an exhaust. A2 is better than A4 for them.

Use the brass ones that won't seize that you will no doubt pick up from me with washers in exchange for 2 cans of coke.

You can use whatever but ones with a flange will dug into the collars a lot less and are what should really be used.
When the old ones are off and the exhaust removed, do one up on to the thread then back off again a few times to help clean it out. A wire brushing might help too. then copper grease one of the new nuts and wind that on and off to make sure the whole thread is covered in the stuff and it'll never get stuck on. I did the above with a bike then removed the exhaust 3 years later and the nuts came off as easy as the day i put them on.

+1 to the brass nuts, even if they manage to corrode they strip before the stud snaps .
