The biggest mystery is why the seller (like many on ebay) think that if you have a bike with a pre-tat value of £3K and have added £1K of tat (or even tasteful, useful extras) it makes the bike now worth £4K. Confused

Also while on subject of ebay, I have found that any bike with the word "mint" in the description will be being sold by a delusional rock ape. Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

Classic we are making fun of his spelling and there's you saying 'add too wish list', even though its written correctly in front of you.

Similar story, here. I emailed the guy yesterday asking why photos hadn't been posted, saying I would possibly be interested in the bike, but I wouldn't even consider bidding a pound, let alone 1800 of them without seeing what it was I was bidding on. So far, no reply.
He's quite probably sitting in front of his computer wondering why he's got no bids.

I'm more than a little dubious about this line in his ad:

Quote:

it was imported from isle of white so still on there plates have proof of export so needs to be mot/dand it needs a service

Unless there actually is an 'Isle of White' which i don't know of, vehicles from the Isle of Wight are no different from those on the mainland (in terms of registration/numberplates etc) - so he's either a lying toerag or a gullible twat.

a couple of hundred spent on this bike and it will be perfect and worth around 2700-2900 pound no probs

That would put me off more than anything. I dont know about you lot but if I had something that I could add around a grand to the value just by throwing 2-3 hundred pounds at it then its a real no brainer.

Allah loves wondrous diversity, but bike adverts really do run the gamut from "i hav bike u buyit" to Teflon-Mikian tomes of pointless history and back story.

I prefer excess detail, preferably profusely illustrated, to none at all.

I avoid reading anything in huge size fonts, coloured fonts, ALL CAPITALS or dats ritn lyk dis.

If he's a Johnny foreigner you expect a certain level of incoherently written English. If he also talks in a similar manner, then you would be buggered, unless you know some people who speak Farsi, Arabic or Kurdish who can help you out Mr. Green
