Had an accident whilst wearing my dodgy pink cargo Draggin Jeans and as people on here are always asking how good they are I thought I would share a photo.
30mph crash (cyclist cut across me without looking)

Only damage is to the right knee where it has ripped them open and exposed the Kevlar but has not gone through the kevlar

But did you feel a bit blonde falling off your bike and wearing those pink fashion disasters (extravaganzas)? Cool

I only bought these disgusting pink ones because they were £50 over half the price of black ones (obviously because they don't sell well) Laughing but I am glad I was wearing them and not just normal jeans.

Hopefully with minimum damage to skin etc ??

I'll admit that I tend to commute the 15 minute trip to work in regular jeans/cargos, and I really think that kevlar jeans are overdue on my kit list

I'm bidding on a pair of those on ebay as they are totally mad and I can't imagine many people liking them! They obviously work better than they look.
Hope you're doing OK after your crash.

How the cyclist didn't see you coming is a mystery to me, those are BRIGHT! hehe

Looks like they certainly did their job. Was it more of a tarmac scrape-along rather than an impact? I imagine you'd need a version with armour for that.

Glad they worked Smile Stitch the outer fabric back up and you're good to go.

We need pics of your legs! For you know, scientific analysis, to prove that they worked. And stuff. Laughing Shifty

I wear Sartso's.

Not had the pleasure of falling off in them yet, but they are plain black so just look like regular jeans.

Don't have to worry about taking them off when I get to work, just sit down and get started.

One of my best gear purchases Thumbs Up

Saw some Sartso's in HG other day, they are made for people with 4 foot inside legs I swear...

Froggy, I smashed a cyclist up a few weeks ago, did the same thing to me... I'm just having the repairs done to the nose cone tomorrow, going to cost me £150 and that's cheap.

Fucking cyclist cunts.

Little graze where my knee rubbed on the kevlar and it is very bruised as I did not have the knee protectors which Velcro in place.

They might (not likely) have cyclist insurance, otherwise you can sometimes claim on their house insurance if it includes public liability, or you can try and sue them for damages. Most likely you will end up claiming on your own policy costing you lots of money in lost NCB etc or fix it yourself and hate cyclists a little more than you did before.

Good to know they do their job, I have draggin jeans for little journeys.
I've been tempted by the pink ones and I really don't know why as they are pretty sickly and would clash with my bike. But I still want some! Wish I could find a pair for £50. I seem to be turning even more girly by the minute.

In my case I hit some Chinese woman who hardly spoke English at all, so insurance wise, I very much doubt she had cyclist insurance and probably not house insurance.

It's costing me out my own pocket because the silly cunt wasn't looking. I now hate cyclists more.

I didn't hit him, he cut across from left kerb to take a right turn, this was on a hill down a country lane, he did not signal or look, just cut across me. He looked back at me when he noticed what he had done and then rode off. I should have just hit him! He must have had an ipod in to not hear my bike.

a cyclist did something similar to me yesterday on the way home from work, problem was.. i was in the car at the time. he basically tried to kill himself.

he's riding along he pavement, im doing 50 and as im about 10 metres from him (guess) he flings his right arm out for a split second then just jumps off the pavement onto the road, by the time he did it i was going past him. he just have missed my car by like a cm or 2. idiot didnt even look round before doing it. if id have been a tiny bit closer to the curb he'd probably be dead and id be in therapy for the rest of my life... Evil or Very Mad

Is it not the case that most motorcyclists were keen cyclists at some stage? Just seems like the natural progression.

I still cycle all the time, although when I'm out somewhere really hilly, and I'm knackered or getting soaking wet, I regret not being on the motorbike!

I used a push bike to get around up until 16 when I got a scooter and didn't need to use the push bike. I would rather have had a scooter much earlier as I hated riding push bikes everywhere.

Now the ninja is having the nose cone repaired and I have to get to our take away which is 3 miles away, I could use a push bike but I'm a lazy fuck and would rather spend £7 on a taxi until I hopefully buy a new bike this weekend.
