Is it primarily a site for teenagers? I just had a look thru the workshop forum over there & they have an overabundance of complete bloody idiots giving advice on matters they are totally bloody clueless about... Some of the advice was just bloody stupid, other stuff was dangerous & some of it was just

teenagers are less expenrance with working on bikes, so of course they would be a large number of them asking questions Rolling Eyes

I didn't see anything bloody stupid or dangerous on the thread he quoted. You put the wrong stuff in your engine you drain it, change the filter and flush it out...only thing you can do.

Hi

He is actually not American, just lives there.

Check his other replies in the workshop section.

He is quite abrassive but his replies are pretty much good advice.

All the best

Hm. I haven't been over there for yonks. Literally years. Doubt if my profile is still up there.

If I had the time to plough through pages of pointlessly overblown sigs, I'd go and have a look, but . . .

. . . can't be arsed right now.

Let em get on with it.

Perhaps ZXR61 could be our technical guru, he obviously believes he is up to the job? Rolling Eyes

As long as he remembers how to speak English so we don't have to go thru all his posts translating. Wink

I realise that VD has it's share of clueless idiots, but when they ask questions on VD they are usually answered by people who have some knowledge of the subject

Had a look. Appears the guy asked a question, made some comments that hinted he had more knowledge and then other VD took the chance to take the pi$$ - when will people learn not to throw stones? Confused

I see ZXR61 made a comment about my blown engine that was neither informative or useful. From what I've been told about these engines, by people I do trust and do know what they're talking about, IMHO I believe his comment is wrong as well! So I'm taking such comments with large pinches of salt - which I hate to do as too much salt is bad for my health Very Happy

That was originally another part of the karma plan... if you got advice from someone with uber-karma like Kickstart, you'd be pretty sure it was good advice.
