is there a ristrictor on a honda transalp? if there is where is it restricted? and how do you de-restrict it?

Yes, it's the v shaped aluminium thing between the exhaust header and the carb. That's why they last so long and do mega mileages, not enough power to wear anything out.

There are three reasons why a motorcycle would be restricted:

1.) It is a two stroke 125 and needs the restriction to meet the power element of the learner law.

2.) It has been restricted by a previous owner to meet the power element of the A1 restricted license law.

3.)It comes from Europe and was designed to make over 100bhp and so was restricted to 100bhp as per French and German law.

The Transalp doesn't fit into the first and last categories, so unless a previous owner has done it, it won't be restricted.

What reason do you possibly have to believe that it is?

A2, A1 is 125cc only.

And add mopeds onto that list, restricted to 31mph (50kmh),
