Does anybody know how to get in contact with a member of the HA Darlington chapter? If so can you PM me please, I understand discretion may be preferable in this subject!

Cheers

Take it your from Durham area then?

Remember my dad telling me about the incident in the Market Tavern in Darlo in the 70s where some guy called Jesus got stabbed, they sounded ike a right bunch of lovely fellas so honestly I reckon most are in the slammer or moved away and grown up.

"When we do right, nobody remembers. When we do wrong, nobody forgets."

Awwwwww, poor babies.

PS. I added the grammar myself. They seem to have misplaced theirs. That probably explains the lack of an apostrophe in "Hells Angels" (sic)

Just spotted this on their site, apparantly it's something to do with there being more than one hell hence the lack of an apostrophe. However I think this is just shite grammer and the excuse was an after thought.

Even if that were true it would be Hells' Angels.

The excuse actually makes it even funnier.

I once got abusive messages from an American angel when using a forum. My avatar was a logo from the film The Warriors. It looks slightly like the angles patch I suppose anyway he sent me some reet threatening emails. He couldn't use grammar either.

Just an idea but you could post a message on the hells angels website in the guestbook though recommend a made up email with made different location.
Although it is not on their list of all the "hoods" so maybe it wasn't the real HA or they have totally disbanded. Shhh!

https://www.hells-angels.com/?HA=guestbook

Bit of a side not here but if any member moans at you for wearing the colours or logo then they shouldn't really consider themselves a member. Look on that website at the faqs and it says that they don't mind if you wear them. Shocked

They are certainly a "real" chapter .... my dad was a member. He hasn't been involved for many years thats why I'm looking for them myself.

As fas as I know they haven't disbanded but they do keep a lower profile.

I'm specifically looking for Jungle, he will remember my dad becasue he rode with him. I'll keep on it, thanks.

Are you for real? Rolling Eyes

Whoever your dad was a member of and rode with back in the day there is no current charter with that name or in that area.

If you are looking for a specific person I would suggest your best bet would be to check out the website for those nearest to you and ask them - some of the UK charter websites have forums and you could ask there too.

Also bear in mind that back in the 70s there were several clubs that called themselves Hells Angles and wore all the patches etc but weren't actually proper approved charters. Most of them were either amalgamated when the actual charters were set up or encouraged to remove themselves from the scene........

Nah they just used to come up with daft nick names like that I assume the guy used to ride his harley or whatever with a crucifix on his back Razz, think there was a group called the Hells Angels in Darlo but whether they were an actual HA chapter can be debated lots of groups just used the name because it sounded cool to them.

This was a while before the internet mind so just because its not on the web doesnt mean it didn't exist but at end of the day they were no different to Punks, Skinheads or any other youth subculture that just faded away eventually.

I know the names of who he rode with so I'll look for them. Thanks to those who have tried to be genuinely helpful.

Err, they dont mind you wearing support colours! They will certainly object to you wearing colours/patch that you haven't earned.
Way too much dangerous disinformation in this thread.

*sigh*

Everything you've ever read on the internet is right and everything else is wrong.

Mind you, I've never *actually* seen an *actual* hells angel, so I don't think they really exist.
