.....RIGHT, we're mean to be going to this Island Invasion Rally tomorrow, but up here in Glasgow it's been pishing it down for hours.
And every weather forecast page I look at tells me a different thing about tomorrow's weather.
Sooooooo, we're in no-man's land at the moment now, wondering should we go tomorrow or not!!!!!
We've just been down in the garage and painted the tent with waterproofing stuff incase we decide to go! But if we do go, I hope the rain stays away!
Decision, decisions, decision!!!! ____________________ I have an asshole tolerance level of -10

You gotta go whatever the weather.
Getting drenched when camping is half the fun!
Just take it easy on the bike... ____________________ "It's all about dislocating expectation"

You can't expect to go camping and never get wet! If you're not made of sugar, you won't dissolve |

I do really want to go and I'm not scared of rain, but, well, we've already done Glastonbury in the pishing rain this year, and even though you still have fun, it's the thought of having to put your tent up in the pishing rain, etc., etc., etc.,
Och, I sound like a whinging bitch here - stuff it - that's it, I've decided, we're going now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just do it, seriously. Don't get me wrong, I love hot sunny rallies, but theres a quality to rallies with bad weather that you are unlikely to experience anywhere else in modern life, and it really is (puts on hippy head) beautiful maaan. go to the local camping shop and get some 'emergency rain ponchos' (about 50p each), hell, even binbags will do. Adverse conditions (unlikely to be terribly adverse at this time of year) really bring out the best in people, and if it all goes bad you will experience a togetherness unrivalled since the days of the blitz. At the first ever 'into the valley' rally the field was a quagmire, and it was uplifting to behold, people in a grands worth of race leather running to help pick up 10 foot long gooseneck choppers, and people in cutoffs and combats pulling plastic missiles out of the mud. Trust me, you came for the bikes, but you'll stay for the people (takes off hippy head). Over the past 14 years I've lost count of the rallies I've attended, some big, some small, some in great weather and some in the direst of conditions, but they were ALL fantastic in there own way. (And the worse the weather, the better the pub story) ____________________ I was only doing what it said on my licence officer....
