Ride your bike behind a horse and pretend to click.

The test questions are worth looking at, your dvd probably has them on it but there is a book too. The bit people usually fail on is the hazard perception, make sure you understand WHEN to click or you'll do it too early.

They want a click as the hazard (defined as something that would cause you to stop, slow or change direction) develops, i.e. following a bicycle and a car door opens in a line of parked cars on the left, the bike would cut in front of you to get round it so click when you see the door open, not when you see the bicycle minding it's own business (early) or when the bike pulls out in front of you (too late). try a few of the practice ones available online and on your dvd.

Do these first to see how you do

If you get 46 or more consistently on the mock exams, you will be fine.

As for the hazard perception, do not over do the clicks. 3 clicks per hazard, spacing of a under a sec each.

The best scoring click stays with your marking.

Also make - new thread in the new riders section, you will get more replies.

I would suggest buying a DVD entitled "Driving Test Success!" or similar, it's particular and only about £5 and is easily the best DVD you can purchase to help you pass. When I did all my theory tests the questions I did in my mock tests and the clips I did in my mock hazard perception tests on that DVD even CAME UP during the REAL test! Laughing!

It looks like this:

https://www.allmartsupplies.co.uk/product_media/dvd009Dd_big.jpg.

It also has mock driving & riding tests including almost all the Show Me/Tell Me questions, running through maneouvres bit by bit showing you how to do it, showing you REAL mock tests and asking you what the student did right/wrong.

All in all it's the best you can buy and it's cheap to why not?

As for revision, that is the best way to revise in my opinion besides looking at what you're bad at at revising it in the actual Highway Code book.

Personally? I'd say if you can do a mock Theory + Hazard Perception (i.e. the FULL theory test) and get 10-20% or so over the passing mark every time about five times in a row and you can do that repeatedly, you are set for your theory test. It's the easy part! (Saying that, I do know people who have failed it 8 times. Rolling Eyes!)

Good luck!

Yup, I used that Driving Test Success one, it was fine. The hazard clips on it show you the scoring zones afterwards, which is handy for training you to pretend not to notice a hazard until a typical learner driver would spot it. Rolling Eyes

That's not just a hyperbolic Rolling Eyes, motorcycle candidates have a far higher theory and test pass rate than car drivers.
