hi all

Well, i got my first off out of the way a few weeks ago (and now have a quite poorly looking K1 GSXR 600 in the garage). Apparantly it was a nice one too, went off when my back wheel hit some gravel mid bend somewhere at Via Gellia. Ending up with the back wheel almost by the side of the front, straightened the bike back out but ran out of road. Doh! Got thrown into the bike, then thrown off again.... into a tree (that wasn't nice) from what little i remember and was told.

Managed to break my left arm, crack my helmet almost in two, wreck most of the fairings on the bike, buckle my front wheel(slightly) and bend my rear brake pedal (again, slightly). So, im thinking of making a bit of a stealth bike project to get it back on the road, all black with plenty of carbon fibre goodness. Very Happy

Will post up pics when I start working on it.

Woolley Thumbs Up

Yeah, was not a happy bunny when it happened!
I actually got driven down the same stretch yesterday and i notice that there are now A LOT of the 'THINK BIKE' type signs, as well as those posted chevron thingymajigs on the bend i came off on. Mad

Absolutely nothing at that part before..

Well spotted!

Yeah it has K2 mirrors (prefer the look), few other bits too but harder to spot and more performance wise.

Woolley,

When your arm heals you forearm and grip along with other muslces will be very weak, when healed up get a dumbell and limp out your wrist and roll it up, this will help your grip and forearm out.

As for the bike, sounds bad, why does every GSXR owner have to "Stealth" their bike? Anyway, good luck with it, I was going to put mine back on the road but couldn't be arsed and sold it.

Cheers for the advice TUG. Ive been told im going to be seeing a physiotherapist after the cast comes off too, and ive been told they'll pretty much say the same thing Very Happy .

Not a fan of 'stealthed' GSXRs then? When i say stealth though, i just mean black fairings and tank, not going as far as frame and swing arm etc... Cheapest colour for a full paintjob really... and cant go wrong with black Laughing
