Is it obvious when a camera snaps you? Would you notice it?

I think I went through one today but IDK if I was speeding I didn't spot the camera but there were lines.

I should add it's one of the old box style ones, not the infra-red ones.

There would be 2 flashes, but whether you would notice it or not would depend on how bright a day it was. Even if it did flash, it doesnt necessarily mean the camera is fully operational, ( no film for instance). You'll know for sure within 2 weeks, no point sweating it.

If it's a rear facing Gatso, you'll get two flashes. If it's a front facing Truvelo, you'll get one pink flash. If it's a SPECs or mobile speed trap, you won't see a flash at all.

Hope that helps!

At night you would struggle to miss it, in the day, especially a bright one you could quite easily miss it.

Nothing you can do but wait either way Thumbs Down.

I'll be well pissed off if I get caught by a static camera! I don't know why I missed it I was just looking at the lines thinking I don't need to slow down. Just tired lol.

How fast can you get away with in a 60 limit? Is it 10% + 3mph?

I was doing 80 by the time I braked for the next camera along. The camera in question was just off a roundabout, uphill, so I'm just hoping I wasn't going too fast, on the GPZ.

Watching a camera flash as you ride past it front facing on a bike is one of life's greatest pleasures. Cool

Funny you should say that, I had the exact same thought. What are the likely ramifications of getting caught? Custodial or not?
