At the risk of sounding stupid..

Ive been trying to sort my over fueling problem, and came accross this. When I open the throttle, ain't the butterfly thingy de bobs sposed to move?

All i see happen is me opening the throttle, the cable being attatched to the Carbs and no movment whatsoever down the 4 holes.

Sorry for my lack of words.. but any idea (if this is the issue) how to fix? Its a vfr400 1991. thanks

No, theyre vaccuum operated. The throttle moves the slides further inside tgat you cant see. Start the bike and rev it, they should move just a little bit. Only open full when youre going flat out.

Operate the choke and make sure that lever to the top of the pic does not need help in moving fully to the left. Your choke cable has a kink in it and the adjuster is out a long way - you might be running with the choke open a bit. The choke is a push-pull arrangement so need to be kept working smoothly.

Eddie, google "constant velocity" or "constant depression" carburettors.
