clutch cable

hi all i know its only £10 for a new one but i like getting messy
my clutch cable is very stiff i can only just move it by hand when it is off the bike will it loosen up if i lube it or is it too far gone.

Recoverable but is it worth it taking the risk that it may snap on you in the future leaving you stranded?

Get a plastic bag, punch a small hole in it and put the cable through it with a couple of mm of the handle bar end poking up into the bag, gaffa tape the bag so its sealed. Hang it somewhere (washing line?) and add some engine oil, this will force it to make its way down the length of the cable...

Pull it back and forth a little after that and if it dosnt work its way free, it never will!.

Do expect a little oil to build up at the low end of the cable for a while afterwards but it did my clutch a treat

yeah will have a go just after i do my mod 1 on the 20th arrrrrrr
fooking shitting my self and this fooking weather is pissing me off
should be ok i ride it everyday to and from work 40miles but its just my look to do something stuped.
