I really need some help guys - 50cc Kymco Cobra Racer

Hello

I recently bought a Kymco Cobra 50cc, and it needed some bits and bobs doing to it. I replaced all the bulbs and they all work now - except the indicators. I know I have to replace the relay, but I'm having great trouble finding one. I was given one at a motorbike shop, but the connections are wrong and I don't fancy messing about with wires - I'm new to this so I just want something that's plug and play!

I've been told that as long as it's 12V and the pins match up, it should work. I've seen one on eBay that's advertised as 12V and "will work with all bulbs and LEDs."

The one I took off is 12.8V and is 10W - would this one work? All the pins match up so connecting wise it should connect right up.

I know it's for Honda but I was told they're all pretty much universal. Is this true?

In your opinion, would it work?

Firstly, do not apologise for asking what might feel like a "stupid question".

As you say, your first vehicle, so you have to learn somewhere.

I started on the road back in the 80s and had great fun finding ou how things worked to keep myself on the road, so ask away.

As for the flasher unit, they are pretty much universal in what they do, it is just a case of different conenction locations.

If yours has a fixed/moulded socket on the end of the wires then you will need a direct replacement, not particularly a manufacture own one, just a compatible one will do.

If it is just a load of wires pluged onto the bottom of the unit, then you should be able to move them over to another unit using the diagram which is usually printed on the top of the flasher.
