can someone decipher spark plug codes for me?

my gilera gsm50 supermoto is burning through spark plugs br10eg and at the price they are, i cant afford to keep replacing them!.

why do they have a resistor in them? - what is that for and what would happen if you fitted a plug without a resistor in it?

i thought that a resistor would cause a weaker spark, not a stronger one.

many thanks.
