Well i can tell you that the pulley housing and cables and servo motor from a late DTR will fit your TZR and they are the same parts on both bikes. As i have not done this conversion i dont know if there is a connector on your cdi box that the wiring from the DTR servo will plug into, or if the TZR cdi is configured to operate the powervalve. You need a wiring diagram and workshop manual to know for certain. have you asked yamaha UK about it, as they should know or be able to find out. On many bikes where the powervalve doesnt work when restricted its either the case that a wire needs connecting or disconnecting to make the PV work. If the breaker will throw in the cdi then id buy the lot, as you will be covered if your std cdi wont do the job. I do expect however that its more likely a matter of plugging in the powervalve wiring into your existing cdi. I know that Stan Stephens has supplied people with PV kits for both DT's and TZR's, and he should know what you need to do, so he's probably worth a call.

the guy at the brakers has sold the cdi, iv just checked my cdi and there is no spare wires running from it 2 plug it in 2
. i did speak 2 a guy at diamond motors why says u fit a brain ( this controles the servo) in the spare wires under the seat next 2 the indicator flasher and they run down under the tank where they come out as a 4 block connector
(b/r y/blue b/brown w/b) that u connect to the servo?

after 89 they change the loom by the looks of it my cdi unit has 5 connector and the next one has 8.

it's a crazy crazy word
Thanks again every one for the help.
