On Saturday 3 of us did a little ride from Lands End to John O'Groats

6:20 Saturday morning

Reached John O'Groats at 11:20pm. It rained probably 75% of the journey.
The last 60 miles were not good. high winds, fog, torrential rain and winding roads didn't make it much fun.
This photo was done the next morning.

There is even a helmet storage box at the bike parking bay next to the lake

From getting a back tyre friday lunchtime to getting a front tyre Tues morning i'd covered 1970 miles

Sometimes.

It is amazing how people manage to not hog lane 3, not cut you up on roundabouts etc when you are a bit brighter than usual

I don't wear a hi vis on this bike usually since it's quite visible without but we had 3 matching printed ones as we did it for charity.

If I saw those 3 bikes closing in on me, I'd certainly slow down and hug the left lane.... Shifty

Nice to see it made a bit more of a 'challenge' rather than just an 'enjoyable ride' Thumbs Up.

Oh and you should have got some slow shutter pics when you arrived. Lovely light at that time, this time of year Smile.

Anything longer than 10 seconds and the camera would have been floating off somewhere.

It was absolutely hammering down. We were all drowned, it was foggy and windy.
We just checked in on google and facebook and buggered off to the hotel for a glass of wine we'd bought on the way up.

Just for the hell of it we're doing side to side in the near future from fishgard to cromer

Next year on the 'end to end sameday' theme we're going to do worlds end in London to End in Germany.

It's a chance for a jolly whilst raiding a few pennies in the process, this one raised over a grand for the causes.
