What do you reckon, cool or ridiculous?! Definitely something different to what I was originally looking at (plain old matt black!)... I think the designs are cool, just not sure if I'd feel like a tit wearing them for real!

Not my cup of tea in the slightest, most air brushed lids I've seen have looked dated and plain daft imo. Factory paint schemes have come along so far with plenty of designs managing to stand out yet still be perfectly tasteful whereas most airbrushers have been churning out the same tat for 20 years.

Some of them can be pretty good, but are they as good quality wise as market helmets?

I had my name airbrushed onto one of my lids, it was better than the green snakes all over it from the original design...I think the snake was why I got it so cheap!

I much prefer plain these days though. Thumbs Up

Still its your head, therefore your choice what you have.

They look vulgar. I'd imagine they would be owned by people who collect those statues of dragons sitting on crystals and wear t shirts with wolves baying at the moon.

My mate does airbrushing as a semi hobby. Not really my cup of tea, but gotta admit he's got some skills....

OT, but the back of my backup guitar I gave him to do what he wants

The front has a greyscale Union Jack and looks pretty cool, but cant find a pic.

I saw the spider and thought, that looks alright. Then scrolled down to see the skull jaw. Airbrushed lids like that just scream self important, weekend chopper riding fags to me.

I've had my lids airbrushed for a long while now by a local painter, he's fantastic and much cheaper than most people. I don't get any pictures or anything I've just had a design that I made with my teams from racing and stuck to it for years.

I currently have a new lid on order (Arai GP6-RC) and when that comes it's getting airbrushed too, I'd thoroughly recommend getting it done, although when I smashed my helmets up in accidents it does make it a bit sadder/pricier. Laughing!

Here it is, my old racing lid:

Just make your own design that you love, and get it done! Thumbs Up!

Some strong opinions against the skulls, I'd wear em, even like them but that's because they get peoples back up. I'd ride around all day laughing as disproving looks from people.

Love seeing people wound up a bit over nothing.

I think their pretty cool (some of them) depends what your going for...saying 'airbrushings crap' is pointless because they can do any design..so the manufactures ones...they could easily do as well. then what would be the difference except cost?....which if you dont have a custom design is pretty stupid

the skull/spider one is kool

I'd wear that, looks cool. However I work in a hospital and walk past the childrens unit on my way in, reckon the kids might crap themselves.

Well, if you don't like it, that's your prerogative, that's my design and I like it. I don't like bollocks overcomplicated crap, it looks like shit from far away.

Also, note, the finish is a lot better (i.e. reflective flakes in the paint) that you can't see on the camera.

I think you've missed why people don't like them. They aren't disapproving, they just think they look a bit shit. In the same way most people on here would chuckle at a Harley rider wearing a jacket with tassels.
