Can i do a HPI check on just the frame number ?

I have recently purchased a bike without a Number plate so i dont know the registration, and im wondering if you can do a HPI check on just the frame number ?? and if so can you get the registration number from the HPI check ?

I just want a few opinions before i go handing out any money, thanks

Does hpi checks from frame numbers which come back with reg etc, think he charges around 15 quid.

i have a honda mtx50 with an eleven digit frame number

would love to find out the registration number without going through all the hassle of getting it re-registered

Guys yes I do still do them, a registration check is £10 and a frame check is £23, bare in mind with a frame check you get all the info you need including the registration and an HPI with it too.

Some frame checks come up blank though, it's less than 1/10 that don't come up with a result and it's mainly because the bike is not on the UK database, meaning its not registered in the uk or the wrong frame number was supplied... There is a small element of risk when checking the frame but as mentioned, over 90% come up with a result and thats going by the 300+ Hpi's Ive done over the years.

Hi guys,

I could do with a frame check too for my very early Yamaha SS50 (made in December 1972 and first registered on 1st January 1973).

I have no old paperwork or logbook and no registration number - so I need a check to comfirm what the registration number is for the V5c.

I know it costs - can anyone oblige?
