but I'm not sure what kind.
I'm swapping bits of clocks around to use a set of GP100 clocks on a CB450DX, the CB wiring has left and right indicator indicator lights and the GP only has one. so I need to link the two inputs of the left and right indicator warning lights to switch on a single bulb, but obviously if I just link them then all the indicators will come on at once (or more likely none of them)
anyway I know the theoretical solution is two diodes, but I'm not sure what exact diodes I need, I dont want to use the wrong ones and then to have to go taking everything apart again so any recomendations, would this be fine: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1N4148-GENERAL-PURPOSE-DIODE-PACK-100-/280712079526?pt=UK_BOI_Electrical_Components_Supplies_ET&hash=item415bbe68a6 |

Without doing the maths they look a bit small (rated in mA). Bikes tend to be a bit rough of electrical components so you might be better off going for something like https://www.maplin.co.uk/3a-silicon-rectifiers-46405
My guess is that your indicator relay is two pin device, in which case you might want to try taking the existing left and right indicator feeds at the dash and connecting those to each side of the new dash bulb (so that there is no earth connection). Yes this sounds odd but a lot of bikes work exactly like this - basically the flashing side earths itself through the dead side's indicators but is in series so only lights up the lower wattage dash bulbs.
