I say slightly off topic as it's my Land rover thats leaking and not the bike but it could have been the bike. Whats the best way to get rid of the dirty black stains?

I've tried a Karcher, degreaser followed by Karcher, scrubbing, brake cleaner.
Just can't seem to draw it out. It's red brick rather than tarmac.

Any suggestions?

You'll be lucky to get rid of the stain, if it was fresh you sometimes get good results by covering it with bio washing powder to draw it out then pressure wash. Old stains are ingrained, brick acid and the like can bleach it then you're left with a very pale "stain" instead.

Scrub petrol into it, I got a pint of spilt thick black engine oil out of a concrete driveway by scrubbing it with a long brush and a load of petrol, will be fine on bricks too.

Don't try it on tarmac though as it will dissolve the tar and make the area worse than it looked with the oil.

Sand & Petrol.
The petrol will dilute it, then hopefully it'll stick to the sand once it rises tot he surface.

You can buy patio cleaner from Wickes. Don't know if it works on brick, but it fizzes like a bastard on contact with concrete.

Hi

Think there is a Gunk driveway cleaner available which is designed for this.

However doubt you will ever get it out. For most people their blood disguises it when their better half spots it and murders them.

All the best

Sprinkle laundry detergent over the stains and just leave it until it gets washed off by the rain. It'll lift it with no problems, cheap too!
