So there will be 5 of us going, 4 bikes. I'll be on my Hornet, so should be a good test to see what it's like long distance

Here's a brief brief of the trip;

So off to see a few guys ride round a track in Czech Republic. But the trip there is going to be the best part, here's what I'm going to be getting up to;

So leaving on the 6th August from Dover to Calais, the ride down there will no doubt be dull as hell, M25 & M20....Yawn!

Quick journey across the water to France, then quickly into Belgium where we'll be staying the night in wait for the serious fun that will be had on the day after.

Day 2 we'll be off to a little town called Nuemberg. Apparently they have a nice track there. Can't wait for that! Will do 2-3 laps round there.

Then the next bit is hazy as I cant remember where we are off to, but in the general Check Republic direction.

Next stop is Prague for a little more sightseeing.

After that we are heading East to see the Church of Bones in Kostnice Sedlec, then off to Brno for the GP, see friends, drinking etc etc.

The route back we'll go to see a bit of Slovakia, Austria, then back into Germany to see the famous Disney castle in Neuschwansteinstraße.

Then planning to go see Luxembourg on the way back, probably a country I'll never go visit if I don't do it here, so why not.

Then home again

The route will look something like this;

2300M round trip

I'll post some photos up afterwards and I'm sure there will be a story or two.

Thumbs Up Very Happy

Luxembourg is awesome, stop there for a night, cheap food, fags and booze, petrol is also much cheaper in Luxenbourg

Also you are going so close to the Alps but not touching Alpine roads!? Seriously awesome chances are the Hornet would be better on these roads that your R1 would have been.

Please be aware however that 150 miles is a fair sized day on alpine roads. On some average speed will be under 30mph.

Might have to suggest that once we get to the GP in that case. Might be the only chance I get to do them!

Good thinking batman! Thumbs Up

No, that's not in one day, we are stopping some place else, might even be two/three stops, but I cant remember where, we are doing a max 300miles/day for obvious reasons!

Good Camping site in middle of Prauge by the river on a island.
Prauge and Czech Republic can be very dear ie a cup of coffee around £10. Fuel was a lot more expensive than the rest of Europe as well.
The church of bones according to my partner was very wierd and a bit of a rip off in his opinion.
To be recommended though are the roads down through the Black Forest and on towards Austria. Fantastic roads coming out of Italy and towards Grenoble in France but it is not the Route De Napoleon which we found to be very mediocre after the alpine roads

Prague is cheap as chips compared the all the countries you pass through to get to it.

I've been six times and never encountered anything like a £10 coffee. More like £1-£1.50.

I've also been to Kutna Hora and the Church of Bones. Awesome to see. I don't recall paying much at all, few quid if anything.

I'm pretty shocked that anyone would find Prague dear really.

Yeah been to Czech countless times as i dated a girl from there for 4 years, Prague can be expensive if you go to the wrong places as it's very tourist orientated. Brno on the other hand, much prefered. Thumbs Up

Right off on the trip, camera in hand, see you chaps in a couple of weeks! Looks like we might be going into Italy as well, but not sure yet!
