Rear wheel knocking?

Okay so yesterday I had my wheels off my bike, to clean them properly, my god they look so much better.

But having put them back on, the back wheel knocks when i spin it, Ive looked around and it seems to be on the left-hand side of the wheel.
Any ideas?

Have you put all the spacers back in correctly? Chain tensioned right with no tight spots? Take it all off again and check.

Does it spin freely? You sure it's balanced correctly?

Also worth checking the wheel bearings aren't on their way out. You may not of noticed before.

Ive checked the chain, thats all fine...

Ill have a nosey at the spacers but im pretty sure i did it right.

Hi

Spacer should be obvious, but the one that is often missed is the one between the sprocket carrier and the wheel. With this missing the bearing in the sprocket carrier gets a large side load. Possibly wrecking the bearing and possibly pushing it to one side and screwing the up the clearances.

Ahhhh, The first time i put it all together i forgot that spacer, put everything together spun the wheel round and stuff, then realised it was missing took it all apart and put it back togrther.. then noticed the knocking :/

Whenever i take the wheels off i put the spacers on the axel in the right order and screw the axel nut on so i know the right order and dont forget to put them back.
Sounds like you may have damaged the bearings.

My dad had a look at it and found a tight spot on the chain!
