Hi guys hope somebody can help me.

I have a gilera stalker 50cc moped twist and go, i have put a leo vince zx exhaust on it and upjetted from a 53 to a 60 jet. i have a crack in my exhaust which i am told will need welding but as i dont have a welding torch this is prob not an option.

1st question is there anything else i can to de-restrict my bike as it is only doing 40mph on a push

2nd question how do i repair the exhaust without 1 welsing 2 buying a new exhuast?

any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks Smile

Its a 2 Stroke. You need to get that exhaust welded. Any decent garage should be able to do it for £10.

If you are derestricting this, then there might be a washer in the variator however if its already doing 40 then I doubt it. To be honest, thats all I would expect out of a de-restricted 50cc engine. Have you done your rollers and clutch springs to match the exhaust?

Yes. They would probably make it slower if it ran at all. You dont need an open air filter or a 'sports carb' on a moped with a 'sports' exhaust. Only if your going down the route of cylinder kits and high performance tuning would you even need to consider it.

Get your rollers and clutch springs sorted out and then come back.
