Well this morning i did it!

After two days DAS training the test was 8.15 this morning and i confess i was bricking it lol...despite the training i still felt a bit unconfident with the slow riding exercises. It was a fantastic ride to the test centre though using the schools Kawasaki ER6-n as the temperature hadn't got up too high and the traffic wasn't too bad either and that helped my confidence.

The examiner was very friendly, no doubt he's well used to nervous candidates lol, but he helped put me at my ease as well. So after the formalities we went out and i rode into the test area still thinking about the slow riding, did the manual stuff no problem then onto the bit i feared most.

I managed to keep a cool head and with a bit of concentration (understatement lol) i nailed the slow exercises right off...after the slalom and figure 8's i couldn't help feeling chuffed but then realised the 'u' turn was still to come so putting my glee back in the box i concentrated again and i seemed to manage that quite easily thankfully!

The faster stuff i then managed to relax a little bit although that did lead to one small fly in the ointment...on the swerve i only managed 49kph so got a minor for that but apart from that i got a clean sheet!

Module 2 booked for the end of the month...bring it on!!!

Congratulations on passing!

I just sat mine too (2nd) and passed! Feels great! It was so much easier than I was expecting after reading all the horror stories (that life threatening swerve!!) . Got my Mod 2 at the end of the month also. Good luck! Smile

i did my two days mod2 training saturday and sunday and was due to take the test tuesday but the test centre cancelled it late on fri!

Pity, i feel really ready for it but i won't know when it will be now until the training school calls them first thing on tuesday morning, i'm just hoping for a cancellation slot this week while my confidence is fresh.

At least if it's quick i won't have too many more sleepless nights lol!
