Asked about this yesterdat but thought I'd give it a new thread title to widen the question

Right, I'm not sue if this is right but I think my carbs may need balancing, correct me if I'm wrong with any other opinions

The reason I think this is because the bike vibrates heavily at around 6000rpm and the bike cuts out sometimes. At first I thought it was dying because of low fuel so I filled up yesterday but it did the same again today. At first the bike become sluggish and dies slightly when applying throttle and then dies completely for a minute or 2. This could also be overheating? As the bike does get quite hot even when on short journeys

Could this be carbs or overheating? Or am I wrong. Any help would be great

Will

So this happens as the bike gets hotter.

Don't know what bike you have but if it's a 2 stroke I would guess it's the 2 stroke oil feed that's faulty.

If it's a 4 stroke I would guess 2 things, either the mixture is too lean (Check the colour of the spark plug, if grey or white to prove this), and the other would be that the pilot jet needs cleaning and main needle lifting 1 notch to help fuel flow from the pilot to the main. After doing this turn mixture down slightly.

Another thing to do would be to take the carb to be cleaned and set to factory settings by a mechanic.

Thanks for the replies.

Its a Suzuki GS500E
