Do yourself a favour and take it back tommorrow for a refund. Challenge is the name that Argos use for there ''exclusive'' range of power tools and like so many ''own brand'' products the quality is shit.
You would be better off digging a bit deeper into your pocket and buying one of these:-

The quality of Makita tools is fantastic and they are rugged and durable. ____________________ A good loser will always be a loser. |

But not so great as an 'every day' drill. I got a much cheaper no-name 5kg SDS drill (may have been from screwfix, I forget) and it's been doing me fine so well. |

I would have suggested the original Bosch drill would have been more than capable. I have a very similar (but much older) model that has drilled thru brick walls, paving slabs, metals etc etc and still going strong.
The Challenge is very much a budget model, and if there's any chance of getting a refund, I suggest you take advantage of it ____________________ 1st bike (Sept'06 - May'10) : 1991 GPZ500S / Current bike (since Nov 2009) : 2003 Suzuki Bandit 600N
