Carrying a banjo on a motorbike

Any suggestions (or experience) on how to do this? I'm thinking a backpack-style case is probably the best way...

I have a back pack case for my Guitar. Really comfy, secure, although only at town speeds. I don't know if I'd risk going too fast.

get a soft backpack case,unless your on a 50cc it won't offer much wind resistance and if you come off it makes a great shock absorber.

Myself and Hellkat know this man called Stevie who plays a mandolin at many rallies and bike shows around the country. He turns up, on his bike, with his tent and rally kit and his mandolin, and I've never thought to ask the question - how does he carry the mandolin!!! Shocked
