Imo a streetfighter is a bike that tried to fight the street (literally) and lost, its just come back for a some more
Most of the bikes in streetfighter mag for example i would consider them customs, whilst the lad around the corner from me with an aprillia rs 125 that wouldn't look out of place in a Mad Max movie becuase he's binned it so many times and on a budget removed the fairing and stuck a car headlight to it on the other hand I would think that a streetfighter. ____________________ Current: 02 FZS 1000 & 91 Royal Enfield Bullet 350 Some Bike Pics...

The original fighter culture started on the continent as purely a way of putting a crashed late model race rep back on the road. No silly tail units or blingy tat. Just a bike without a fairing, a headlight setup bodged on and sometimes a bit of tidying of the wiring and plumbing to make it look a bit less shit. Sometimes not even Renthals! My hatred of fighters started when I borrowed a GSXR750F which had been tastefully modded with halfrauds cheap car spotlights and a set of lovely Renthals . Having ridden plenty of standard ones I can safely say that the only advantage it offered was less wrist cramps when pottering round town. It was fucking useless at motorway speeds and handled oddly because of high bars. Coupled with the "come nick me I'm speeding" 4-1 exhuast and I was quite glad when my nice standard fully faired and clip-on'd GSXR came back after it's service. Being "indervidjewel" is all well and good but at the end of the day most of us ride our bikes (at least sometimes ) and I can't see the point of something inferior to standard. ____________________ 18:54:48 Rob Fzs: jews don't give away stuff for free

I forget all the stuff that was done to it... |
The Harris arm is a standard that has had a top brace welded on.
The Race covers are just heavy duty covers, nothing special.
The aftermarket cooler is too small and has the wrong fittings on it. Also no heat proof covering where it passes the exhaust.
The braided brake lines are badly done as well. |
not a Harris swingarm?... wrong, unless the previous owner stamped Harris on it just for kicks? But who cares?
Race covers are heavy duty covers what is your point caller?
The cooler worked without problem for years and is still working... it looks right and it works what more do you want? As for the fittings... how can they be wrong if it's working? It's a mungral/fighter...
Braided lines badly done... nope I think what you might be referring to is the clutch cable... yip that's not in a great position, but probably was like that under the orginal fairings anway...
Oh but I get it, you sell braided lines and are looking to make people think it's rocket science and they need a pro to fit braided lines..
So you don't like it or are trying to make a point which is?
It was a very old bike that was past it's best. The previous owner did the work and made a good workable machine .... I replaced worn out bits and fuct about with headlights and the exhaust for a bit, but the machine is still going strong. ____________________ **** Don't ride faster than your angel can fly Get this Free Space
