im after my first big bike having passed DAS last week.

I have £3k for the bike.
Il be riding it most days, most weathers.
about 60 miles per day
Id like the bike to be as new as possible, with minimal mileage (obviously)
im 6' tall.
I want to look cool Wink

I know i like the SV650 (faired) although someone on this forum has turned my head with a kawasaki versys. not my usual style and ive never ridden one -but certainly tempting.

trawling ebay etc im struggling to find many other options other than SV650s at that price- dont get me wrong - lots of bikes under £3k - but either have higher mileage, or are pretty old.

am i being too picky?! Neutral

I'm biased, but have owned both.

The Versys handles better, stops better, is built better, does better MPG and more miles to a tank, is better with a pillion and has more midrange. Plus alot have luggage which is damned useful if commuting.

Another issue with SV's is that they are a popular 1st big bike choice - I.e. many have been down the road/not serviced/abused.

I am 6'2" and a girl. I am so lanky I find the weights difficult, but so far my fav has to be the CBF600 - very comfy riding position if you have long legs

Try gumtree rather than e-bay, some very nice bikes on there at reasonable prices and there might be one or two that are near you that you can pop along and see,,good luck.
