My planet is running at the moment so I don't hate it anymore . I really like the handling and the 'streetfighter' riding position but I have to accept that its just a matter of time before something else fucks up. I'm gonna make an effort to do ALOT of miles over the next few weeks to see if any problems occur. I'm thinking about a 400 cos I want something that will be more maintenance free at uni. It would also handle the ride there better (fairing). I'm still undecided though- especially as my Dad reckons 400's are impractical 'toys' and eat tyres i.e. uneconomical for a poor student.

I think if I can get a warranty, a good price for my 125 and haggle him down a little the CBR will be a safe buy. There's a lovely VFR in the RVF type paint scheme at another shop but they already have a planet so probably won't do a trade in. This ones £2200 as well but very tidy.

1700 sounds a fair price for a tri-arm. I did lots of looking around, and generally, any that were less than that (except mine) hadn't been looked after or maintained properly. Get a MOT/service history on it, get to know the current owners if you can... You'll get an idea if it's been looked after or not.

400's "impracticle toys" ??? PAH!!!!!! Make us seem like kiddies!! Hmph.
