hi all.i have an old kmx 125 that i striped down and painted.i have put it back together as a dirt bike so no lights ,clocks, battery ect.i started it for the first time today an it seemed fine.it was only when i put it in gear it cuts off like a kill switch.now i dont have the kill switch connected im just using the key in the barrel.do i need the kill switch connected or is there something else i forgot to connect

Check the side stand switch connection.

In which case join the wires either end of the switch to close the circuit.

Yes.[/quote] i did that and it didnt work.then i noticed wires coming from the clutch lever.i cut and joined these wires and away i went.hope this helps someone in the future.thanks for the help folks.
