Passed my Theory yesterday and I was hoping to crack on with the next two stages reasonably quickly. But no. There are no free dates for my off road test until 20 September!! Grrr. I was hoping that I would be solo riding on my new bike by then. Ah well

There does seem to be more and more bikes out with trainers/examiners this year. There's a test center in my town Checked..

Is this really the list of available test centers for the UK?

Aberdeen
Beverley
Bristol (Avonmouth)
Cardiff (Llantrisant)
Carlisle
Chadderton
Derby
Edmonton
Exeter
Gillingham
Glasgow (Bishopbriggs)
Kidderminster
Leighton Buzzard
Newcastle-Upon-Tyne
Norwich
Nottingham
Southampton (Northam)
Yeading

No wonder there's a wait.

So where's London on that list?

Pretty sure that's not all of them as I'll be doing mine in Erith.

And to the speedysi - I feel your pain, I booked mine yesterday and I have to wait until the 1st October!

Seems like aeons.

I just re-read what i said and thought it sounded a bit "in your face!"-ey, sorry:P

try having a look around at some other test centres that are maybe a bit further away.

I know for driving tests in Nottingham, the waiting list is huge, but at derby down the road, its much shorter, at a couple of weeks sometimes.

And thanks Smile Thumbs Up

Dude Im only kidding Very Happy Just jealous. Really am surprised at the waiting list. Im self employed and half taken most of August off cause I thought I could get a lot done. Crying or Very sad When I did my car I went from theory to passing test in under a month! Not because Im a good driver though.
Seriously good luck and enjoy

Don't know if this affects where you are but.. when I did my lessons the training school always had pre-booked tests. I never had any problems and had most of my tests booked within a weeks notice. If you're not with a training school, you could always ring one and ask if they've got any available tests slots and offer to pay for bike hire?

Also, I remember them saying that Monday 8am was always a good time to call for cancellations?

Angel Girl got it spot on, I couldn't get a mod 2 test for over 4 weeks, so I booked it anyway and went back on the website and tried to change my booking twice a day until they offered me something suitable. After three days it offered me one for the following day, so I took it.
I think you can change your booking online three times for free, I think the bike schools book all the slots, then cancel them at short notice if they dont have any students to take the tests.

Smile
