Hi to everyone.
I'm new to the world of bikes and can only thank a close friend for the interest. After plucking up the courage to go out on the back of his bike I have to say I loved it. Another couple of times and I was hooked and thought this is the way to go. So saying that I booked myself in for the CBT and found myself in control of a piddly 125 for the first time ever. All I can say is BRILL. My next step was to book myself in for the DAS and went out and bought myself a Kawasaki ER500, secondhand, but mine non the less. Can't ride it yet like, as my test isn't till the middle of september, (very much an optimist) but I love keeping it all shinny.
So here I am at the tender age of 35 and having a ball. Who said life had to get boring as you get older, NOT ME Very Happy

Stitch, I'm in the exact same boat as you.... been driving 11 years, driven a trike for nearly 18 months and rode my first bike a 125 the other week when doing my CBT. I figured I'd make it just a a "look see" experience and now I'm due to do my DAS with the test middle of september too Very Happy

and I'll avoid using the term "mid-life crisis" Wink

I'm going to have to wait to do my DAS though, no way can I afford a real bike and insurance on my student loan... A cg or something simialr will have to tide me over till I can get back into work. But hell, as long as I have a bike, I'll be happy Very Happy
