Hello,
Myself and herself are off to France for a few days and I am a bit unsure of the upcoming rules on Hi-vis vests in France. Has the proposed change in the law gone through yet? Tried the AA and RAC sites and could not get a definitive answer.

I don't think I need headlamp deflectors (99 Honda cbr 600 and 94 Yamaha diversion 600) but if anyone knows different I would be grateful if you give me the benefit of your wisdom.

Thank You

OP - Did you wear a high vis vest whilst in France? I.E has that law come about yet?

Starting the 1st of January 2012, all motorcycle riders will be required to ride with a fluorescent vest. Only yellow or orange are permitted.

This is in part due the fact that the lobby groups in France conceded on this in order to get the 100BHP over turned.

It is wise to take a vest with you, but yeah you don't have to wear it.

Doesn't your bike have a way of adjusting the beam fro left to right?

I didn't have to worry about the left right issue as the dip is a flat beam. Are you sure yours isn't the same?

Just an add on folks..
In Spain you dont have to wear a yellow vest but you do have to carry one in case of a break down then it must be worn.
