Hi,
I've got my mod 2 in two weeks which I'm going to doing on my gz125. The problem is being quite a big bloke and a high mileage bike its top speed is about 55mph, can stretch a bit more down hill. I know test route has a few nsl roads so wondering if ill get marked down if I can't get the bike up to the 60 speed limit.

My other option is to take my nsr125 but my concern is it may go on the blob and start being tempremental on the test.

Your bike has to be capable of 100 kph (about 62 mph) for it to be eligible to take your test on.

So, and don't quote me on this, you'd be marked down for not doing the NSL at best and prevented from doing your test/given a permantly restricted license (restricted to 125cc)

The second time I took my test I got marked down for not doing appropriate speeds on the NSL roads. Mine are full of sharp bends and uphill humps and things like that, which for the most part reduce visibility. I was worried about gassing everyone with my exhaust smoke that comes from the 2stroke Honda Laughing

He said to me when I had to stop the test - that it's not about doing the full limit, it's just about doing a safe appropriate speed. That doesn't mean 60 everywhere. As my driving instructor said to me repeatedly "It's a limit, not a target"

Good Luck

Cheers for the replies, I just wanted to make sure on it. I've got a bit more tinkering to do on the gz so may get a couple more mph out of it yet. Thanks again.
