Further to the earlier thread about how letters & numbers should be set out on 2 or 3 lines but not 1 line, is it possible to 'split' the numerical part of the plate?

Something like this...

A1
2BCD

as opposed to the usual

A12 (or 3)
BCD

I've seen the plate I would quite like, but it would only make sense if it were split.

In my humble opinion:

I wouldn't if I were you. I think that adjusting the spacing so a personal plate can easily be read is a bit silly really.

And my personal view is that personal plates are pointless...

It just gives the police an excuse to tug you.

Incorrect spacing on personal plates can see your entitlement to the plate being withdrawn. I've never heard of it actually happening but as they cost quite a bit, I personally not going to test that theory out with mine.
