when running in loud noises come from top, red oily leak from the middle is an occurance, the problem goes away but then comes back for more. Can you help me please??

I'm no expert but here's a tip. To find where oil is leaking from, wipe the engine clean with an old rag. Get some talcom powder and lightly cover the area you think its leaking from. Go out for a taz.... bob's you uncle!!! Where the oil has washed away the talcom powder is where your leak is.

Hi

2 stroke oil is normally red (so is auto transmission fluid, but that is not used often as gearbox oil), so that would be my first worry. Check around where the pipe goes from the pump up towards the carb. Make very sure it is in place (and no air bubbles). If that comes off you can look forward to a large bill for a new piston and a replated barrel!
