anything will fit if you spend enough time, thats not a cocky answer - that is how it goes, i dont know if it will bolt right up but if it doesnt youll need to make up some home made brackets - mild steel is a cheap and easy option for this.

Thank you.

Basically i have a few cracks in the fairings of my bike (not from me i might add!).

The two top front fairings are £50 each. i dont know whether to take them off and repair them, fill them and repaint the whole bike in a custom colour ready for sale when i pass my full test or just leave it.

The old red and blue is looking a bit tired and i was thinking of doing a nice candy red with black and silver (log book says red so it needs to stay the majority colour)

everyting mechanically is fine.

Do you know if i can buy the replacment fairing clips anywhere?

No they wont fit.

I have some black fairings in the garage from an 04 that will for 04-early 07's

Also, you can change the colour of your bike, just send V5 in with new colour written on it.

it depends but it sounds like you dont plan of keeing the bike for long, i would get an idea of what the bike is currently worth with damage and then pitch it against the value you think you might get if the cracks were not there. if your repair costs come to more than the extra - leave it! its not a keeper.

I beleive these are ABS plastic fairings so can be 'plastic weldded' - a great way of fixing it but then filling and painting however.....

honda finish bikes in 2pack paint, this is not somthing you really should be using at home, the chemicals form it are EVIL!! to get a decent lasting finish - 2 pack is the way fowards so its off to a pro, which is going to cost - financially - id leave it if theres no much in it.

always worth getting a few quotes for the repairs though, some places might do a decent deal

##Paddy## how much do you want for the fairings? which fairings are they?

Also i dont mind repainting. I have a face mask and a workshop with a ventilation system plus i have a clarke compressor and spray gun. Ive never sprayed a bike before or a car but id be willing to give it a go seeing as they are only small parts.

Im going to be keeping the bike for at least a few more months or as long as it takes me to pass the full test. Id like it to look good for me and then be in 100% shape for whoever i pass it on to.
