Im no Barry Sheen wannabe and am currently on L's on a ybr.
I didnt think this was possible, but I was trying to get away pronto at the lights as I have the pleasure of commuting during the school run.
I must revved bit too much and as I pulled away Im sure the front wheel for half a second max, luckily it must have landed straight and no tank slapper

Just wondering if its even possible to do a wheelie on a ybr125, did this even happen or did i shit myself for nothing ?

On a rented XR125, due to inexperience and inability rather than bravado, I once had the front wheel a good couple of feet in the air pulling away from a set of lights in Ealing. I'm sure oodles of squishy suspension and a high centre of gravity helped the process, but they will go if you're rough enough. And I went too, as soon as I got home.

You can technically wheelie anything.....whether it's intentional is the question.

I wheelied my first gear/clutch bike the first time I was on it but there was no control,it was purely inexperience in gears and giving it wayyy too much throttle.

It does sound like you just got the front end a bit light but hopefully now you know what happens when you dump the clutch while revving the knackers off it.....with luck it won't happen again in a 30mph zone

all 125s can wheelie if you try . my XT125 will wheelie quite well if I pull on the bars. next time you pull away quick give the bars a tug and should get the wheel up nicely .

I will put it down to inexperience and try and chill a little bit when pulling away. Im not really wanting to wheelie on my commute, though Im sure the cars behind me where giving a wide berth for next 200 m, and I was grinning like a loon.

I use to 'wheelie' my YBR in the car park, shedloads of revs and just let the clutch out from a stand still/very slow, it came up a fair way but you could never sustain it for more than a few feet.

While on my CBT I managed to lift the front of the Yammy SR I was learning on.. Completely unintentional, and while the instructor was giving me his full focus as we were up a quiet road to demonstrate we could perform the emergency stop.

I managed the stop okay, and he mocked me for the wheelie, so it was all good. Unlike the other lad who kept his throttle open while performing his emergency stop, on a scooter.

When we were 16 we used to wheelie our bikes up and down the road outside school - 5bhp is all you need! Lost count of the number of back mudguards and numberplates we bent and smashed... Hardest bike I ever tried to wheelie on was a mate's 250 Superdream because of the (lack of) power/weight ratio. Still possible though, just. A 125 with 12bhp should come up no problem!
