She loved it!
Got my first real bike as many of you know honda bros 400
Had about 2 hours to myself getting used to it and decided to ask if she wanted to hop on and go for a little ride, she was nervous as she knows how i used to full throttle my 125 everywhere.
Took it slowly to start with gradualy increasing speed to get her used to it, then i hit a "private road" and took it up to about 90 she held on tight for a few seconds but slowly released her death grip shows she enjoyed it
Maybe a new female in the biking scene ____________________ GOOD GAME BODYGUARD: https://i.imgur.com/8WePGgf.jpg

Didn't carry any Pillions on my bike until about 2 month after passing test, mostly due to uncertainty of bike performance and handling. However I had carried pillions before that around a private woodland road and once before for a reason I won't go into so not really lack of experience with carrying them just learning the bikes little quirks and such.
Not saying you shouldn't carry pillions so soon after passing your test and getting a 400 but as with anything ride within your limits, confidence and keep common sense in check an extra 8-12stone on the back of the bike is going to increase stopping distances and affect handling bare that in mind.
Anyway glad you and her had fun ____________________ Current: 02 FZS 1000 & 91 Royal Enfield Bullet 350 Some Bike Pics...

People may not agree with me, but you're an idiot.
When you have a pillion who's life is in YOUR HANDS. You have as little as 2 hours riding on the most powerful bike you have rode after jumping from a 125 to a 400 with a license only 3 days ago, and the I assume first time you have carried a pillion. You then go to 90, on a bike you're not familiar with, with power your not familiar with, with a pillion, whom, being your partner I assume you actually care about? |
Going fast in a straight line takes no skill, I hit 110 in the first 30 mins of owning a big bike. Stop raining on the guys fun, people are aware of there limits, I dare say I would do some things with a pillion that would make your brain boil. If it ain't out of your comfort zone there isn't a problem IMO. ____________________ Well, you know what they say. If you want to save the world, you have to push a few old ladies down the stairs.

I wasn't confident enough to carry a pillion that soon. Took me a few weeks and even then it was an experienced pillion (Pernig off here) albeit on my CG125
Took my o/h out on the ZZR and she loves it but was very nervous.
As long as you were in control and are aware of your limits fair play, I guess. I personally rode like a nun with her on the back. |
