New bike, any advise ?

Hi guys, I haven't been on here for a while, so here's whats been happening. I sold my SRAD 600 after doing 900 miles on it, I found it far to uncomfortable, so I bought a R6. I have had it 3 weeks and done about 200 miles, but I really found it a bit small, although it was comfortable. The other thing was I couldn't really see much out of the mirrors, and with my stiff neck, I need to see well.
So I have now traded the R6 in for a Gixer K2 1000, now I know this is a massive jump for someone with only 1100 miles under my belt, so I'm looking for some advise from people who have had or got a K1-K2 1000. I am picking it up in a few weeks time. Here is a few pics of it.

Pin the throttle everywhere and don't brake, nah jus foolin.
Just take it easy, do the speed limits and keep in your comfort zone. I normally give it a week or 2 to get to grips with a bike before I start stretching it's legs etc.

Looks a nice bike, look after it.
