Since riding through a few hours of torrential rain my brakes have been quite spongey to the point where I can pull the lever back to the bar. This got noticeably worse after riding through heavy rain again this week. I have tried bleeding my brakes and seen no improvement and there doesn't appear to be any air bubbles coming out during bleeding whatsoever. The brake fluid hasn't gone dark due to taking on water and having flushed through with new brake fluid I can still pull the lever back to the bar, suggestions please
thanks
Rob

Could be the master cylinder?
Try taking the reservoir cap off then gently squeeze the lever, does it look like fluid's being forced back into the reservoir?

Nope doesn't move, fluid comes out of the calipers clear with no bubbles but there is no bleed nipple for the master cylinder so I'm guessing the air must be somewhere up there but surely the correlation of heavy rain and loss of braking is linked?
