Hi all,

Just wanted to let you all know, I had some crappy luck today and sheared off my chain adjuster on my rear wheel. Bearing in mind I commute to work on her each day, I was gutted and pissed off

I texted paddy in case he knew where I could source another and explained my predicament.

Guess what you guys, he has only let me use his gsxr for the week while I wait for my parts.

There was a posting on here a while ago speaking of helping/stopping to help other bikers, but I feel this was well beyond that.

I just want to let you all know how grateful I am and how decent a chap he is

I sense G has a small part to play in Paddy being so generous. Not taking anything away from Paddy. Just a hunch that G's generous nature has rubbed off.

I an the other hand have just had the most cringeworthy time.

In short.
I said i'd loan him the little Honda.
Months later he says ok i'm ready.

I renege (Go back on a promise)..I have a 'He'll break it....not treat her like i do' moment. Embarassed

Seriously though. Top job. I have a mate in Peterborough who I met through a game I played online (insert nerd quote here) who had a GSXR750 rotting away in his garden and offered to get it back on the road for me to run about on. The generosity was outstanding. I passed my test, took the chinese 125 up to peterborough and sure enough there was a 750 waiting for me. (no I didnt get raped either!)

6 months I had the thing for until I got the VTR. Proves we're not all a bunch of tossers us bikers. I'd happily return the favour if I was able to.
